almost 2 weeks ago I went to EMPAC to be a part of Laurie Andersons workshop.(where she is a distinguished artist-in-residence ) using tai-chi, which was led by another woman, a meditation on a cow from Turning Confusion Into Clarity by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche....& a very slow walking meditation- the 2 hour event w/ about 40 people taking place on the stage of the largest venue in the futuristic building was quite special-just doing the tai chi movements w/ L.A. two feet away was surreal. Ms Anderson would program music that was perfect low background sounds. She left us w/ 3 statements; dont be afraid of anyone ( didnt agree ) develop a BS detector, & be tender. The 830 pm event was preceded by a 630 workshop as well
