#amtopic Dear Counsellor, I have been in a relationship for three years now. I recently discovered that my boyfriend has been in another relationship with a woman for nine years. She texts, calls, tweets and stalks me on Facebook. I am still in the relationship. He tells me he loves me and he doesnt want me to leave him. He makes me happy. Hes the first guy Ive allowed myself to fall in love with. Hes well known to my family but Im not known to his. He spends his holidays with the other woman and Im alone. He refuses to take photos of me or us and always takes photos with her. She is always posting them on social media sites because they always go out together the way couples do. He doesnt take me out, just does home visits and sleepovers. It makes me feel really bad. He says my love is different from hers; I make him feel more like a man and show more respect. He admits to me that he loves her. I am not happy with our relationship because hes happy and I am not. He knows I am a faithful, virtuous, ambitious woman. To me, the relationship is not going anywhere and I am not comfortable with the way it is, but because I love him so dearly I cannot let go so easily. I respect other peoples relationships, but when I found out about the other woman, I was already attached to him.
