#amtopic Veteran Entertainer Eric Lewis believes it’s “total madness” how the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) took him out of next weekend’s monarchs show; but show organisers say they don’t know why Lewis is mad since they never invited him in the first place. Lewis, a principal and founder of the group Madd, took to social media in the last 48 hours to express disappointment and concern over the treatment he said he received. He charged that after being invited to perform at the VOB40th Anniversary Crop Over Monarchs In Concert show by co-organiser Ronnie Ronnie D Davis, and confirmed by his colleague David Weatherhead, he learnt only this week that he had been dropped while Davis “who has never won anything” is now performing. Recalling the events, Lewis wrote: “Now earlier this year I as in MADD was approached by a representative/employee of the NCF (Ronnie D) to perform at a show about the monarchs of Barbados (MADD won Tune of the Crop in 1991), those who won Pic-O-De-Crop, Tune of the Crop, Party Monarch etc scheduled for this month.
