am more than infinitely sorry to say that my hearts respect and admiration for the George Street United Church has dwindled. I E-mailed my Facebook status with regards to the bad incident that happened to me last week with a man pouring hot coffee over my head to the Reverend of the church and she meagerly, casually, kind of offsettingly said that if i wanted to talk to someone about the incident I could go to her but life has been a little busy lately and still i havent written a formal complaint to the church yet and it seems that chances to rectify the situation or rectify its possible future outcome that such an incident could happen again, is also dwindling, cause the same man was at the church again, same time, same place and going to the computer again, like last week. I was apalled that he was free to enter the outreach centre without anyone minoring the environment. This time I didnt tell him not to do whatever on the computer, it is not my responsibility anymore, it is the churches. All senior volunteers there too seem to be absentminded about the incident last week too, as they continue to go about their business without any sign that they know what happened or bountiful care for that matter. This also dwindles my hope that this place can be safe for anyone, any soul. Another man, who seemed to taken on the self-role of protector and kept vigilant of him too, said that this man is spontaneously and consistently violent. A reporter from CBC also requested yesterday that I be interviewed bout the incident and I said yes absolutely, that i am all for the action of justice and equity, to help safeguard the sacred interests of everyone, anyone. Just a little sad today due to the church. Youd think youd find faith in through a church. Perhaps the church is in it for corporate money and cant really humble itself nough to protect the environment. INFINITELY SORRY to say! :( :(
