#amwriting Book #5, The Owl from Oblivion, 31,625 words. Im almost one-third of the way to my goal of 95,000 words. I feel pretty much terrified when writing this book. Many authors write that an author is not pushing themselves enough if they dont feel fear when they are writing. This book certainly is pressing me. A lot of this book takes place on Earth and involves some pretty realistic politics. Parts of it feels like a spy novel except that some of the spies are kids. Were not talking about spies like in some silly movie like Spy Kids but spying involving real danger. And the Sun Gods in this novel are truly terrifying. At this point, there is a fairly large cast so the novel feels a bit like a bunch of short stories threaded together on a single plot-line where each short story advances a different group of characters. The characters in this book are considerably more developed than in the previous books to the point where I have to worry about boring the reader with too much characterization. I am also working on a new heavyweight character named Patrick. Patrick will give UFO enthusiasts a bit of a buzz. Guess Id better stop talking. Ill start giving things away....
