an International Review this time round = love it ;o)) “wonderful stay at 21 York!” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW On a recent visit to my brother in the UK, we decided to take a family trip away from London while he was at work busy. Following Jasons advice, we thought why not explore Yorkshire (an area of the UK we had never been to before). Jason suggested basing ourselves in York, and staying at No. 21 York (having stayed there himself recently). Well, his advice was spot on!! As a hotelier myself and the daughter of a hotelier and having grown up spending time in 5 * hotels around the world, it was really enjoyable to experience Simons and Andreas hospitality. When you work in the industry, its always hard to switch off your professional thinking cap, so staying in B&Bs is sometimes interesting. Simons and Andreas service and attention to detail took care of that!! I could see a fellow hoteliers touch in all the little points that made out stay so memorable. Not knowing this part of the UK at all, yet being eager to explore, Simon was a gem with his wealth of knowledge of Yorkshires best hidden delights. Whether it was which was the best fish and chips shop in Whitby, or when best to miss the crowds at Fountain Abbey.. Simon was a fountain (excuse the pun) of information. What more could you want in a host? We now know why Jason raved so much about his stay at No. 21 York... I have a feeling we will too. Thank you Simon and Andrea for such a wonderful stay.
