The Premier League outfit have been under investigation by the European governing body following their spending spree across the 2011-12 and 2012-13 campaigns. The acquisitions of Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri, Javi Garcia, Gael Clichy and Matija Nastasic resulted in the club, which is owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan, posting a loss of £149m. According to The Telegraph, UEFA are expected to hand out a guilty verdict to City, as well as French champions Paris Saint-Germain, which could result in a heavy fine or transfer ban for both clubs. However, it has been reported that neither side will be expelled from the Champions League as a form of sanction for their finances. UEFAs Club Financial Control Body will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday to decide on which clubs have breached FFP rules.
