and now, about that great news that I mentioned a few days ago, before I went AWOL with a busy life. Ive accepted what I expect to be a simply wonderful job with Acker Merrall Condit. Believe it or not, they are not a law firm. Its the oldest wine shop in the United States (1820!). Ill be doing floor sales in their retail store, but also working on writing for wine on their website, and eventually get to write about vintage wines and participate in rare wine auctions. Acker has the largest collection of rare bottles --possibly -- in the world -- and run regular auctions in the US and Hong Kong. ackerwines In a million years I never expected an opportunity like this to come my way, but it has, and Idve been foolish to decline it. Ill miss the living hell out of working on the East Side, especially J.d. Phelps. & Monique Altacho (I love the rest of you too, but are unable to tag you on Facebook). Before I start the new job, Im heading off to Florida to meet my new nephew and do some power fishing with Dad. Alright kids, Im off to drink Champagne for breakfast. ITS FOR WORK, DAMMIT!
