anon. My brothers privately rented flat was badly flooded on Monday. His flat got the brunt of it and it is completely uninhabitable. His landlords insurers agreed for him to go into a b&b and he is in the cheapest one we could find room only. He will be reimbursed eventually but in the meantime he is paying £196 a week. It looks like he wont be able to return for at least 2 months! Its high season and there is no way he can find a b&b for every night and he cant afford that every week (who knows how long the insurers will take to sort it out). He really needs to hand the keys in and end the tenancy but if he does that the insurers are not responsible for him and wont pay for the b&b. It will take a few weeks to find another flat so he needs to rent a room until he can find anoth flat. Then he can end the tenancy. He is working full time so is not on benefits. Hes just homeless through no fault of his own. Does anyone have a spare room in worthing that he can rent for an specified time (he wants to find a flat as soon as he can) and needs access to a kitchen although he will have a lot of his main meals with me. Dont suggest the council, ive asked, they wont help him because hes working. Thanks for reading this
