anonymous asked . Hello Boris, ”I have purchased many of your DVDs and get very good results with your protocols. I have a female client who is suffering from SI joint disfunction. According to a local pain management doctor, many women suffer from this problem. When she comes in I work the lumbar and gluteal region and some passive range of motion exercises. We get some improvement but it doesnt last very long. I feel as if I am missing something. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, thank you for purchasing my DVDs . Im glad , presented material helped you to advance your capabilities to deliver results . I believe that we cannot single out SI joint disfunction, even if this dysfunction is a main cause for pains, limitation of motion etc. therefore I believe your treatment plan to address” I work the lumbar and gluteal region” is a good one. In regards of passive range of motion exercises, we have to make sure that first, all fascial restriction eliminated, trigger points addressed adequately ,and you have sustained plus minus normal resting tone within muscles. In such case scenario we can assume that threshold of pain increased. Low pain threshold/ Sensitive muscles at the time of passive stretching can react by muscular spasm, and of course in such a case, pains will come back. Please make sure that passive stretching will not do more harm than good. Dont get me wrong, stretching is a very important techniques, but have to be applied careful, and when conditions allow. Also, now days in order to sustain results, you have to incorporate stress management massage within orthopedic massage protocols. If she suffering for a long time. Stress management massage, also will help to eliminate phenomena when brain generating pains etc. I hope it was helpful. Best wishes. Boris
