another crazy story: when i was in new york the last two weeks i got lost in Brooklyn bc I thought I was in Manhattan. Winston McDirt and I were lugging around a giant luggage bag of guitar pedals and had to throw some art out on the street bc it was too heavy. we threw out a pop up book we made together as WAN on the street. the book was called Materials and consisted of an aerosmith journal i got in a thrift shop in pullman, wa. and over the course of a year we taped things from the street into the book like milky way bars, wrenches, beats headphones, batteries, forks, broken pipes, shoe insoles, etc until it became an insane sculpture book thing. someone i guess found it and it is now in an open art gallery in pittsburgh. if this is not an expression of how modern american art is the equivalent of garbage i do not know what is. here is the gallery where you can see it: https://facebook/events/705396406188354/?notif_t=plan_user_invited
