Peter is Making Good Progress By Danette Melvin (on behalf of the Sorini family) — 54 minutes ago Peter is halfway through radiation and continues to avoid most of the side effects from both radiation and chemotherapy. Hes made great progress with speech and physical therapy. People who dont see him on an everyday basis can really see the difference. Peter and Stephanie have been communicating with a cancer research specialist about a promising new treatment approach. When Pete completes radiation therapy in February, they are planning to travel back east to meet with the specialists. If all goes as planned, Peter will be able to start the new treatment in March. The family is very excited about this cutting-edge approach to treating cancer and they are cautiously optimistic about its potential to be a turning point for Peter. In the meantime, Pete will be working hard on all of his therapies and enjoying time with family and friends. The family is awed by the communitys continued outpouring of support and love and thanks everyone for all theyre doing to help.
