anyone ever try changing a kit from a wrapped finish, to a laquer finish? i have been playing for over 40 years but have never peeled the wrap off of a drum. so not sure what type of ply is underneath. is it possible or will it look terrible? it is an older pearl export series. good set of drums. but i play outdoors in the heat alot and we all know what the heat can do to wrapped sets. would appreciate any advice. i love the diversity and experience on this site. thanks in advance and everyone have a great day..
