anyone remember how A&S would decorate their windows at Christmas time with moving elves and villages? Martins was the ritzier store who had doormen with gloves who opened the door for you and on the elevators. My friends and I would go into Martins and pick out the most expensive dresses to try on and just crack up in the dressing room because we maybe had a dollar between us. The dressing room ladies were always knocking asking if they could help us with anything. In those days these ladies actually came in and helped you try on outfits and zip you up.
