are we assuming that he went west or east of the creek? If we could narrow that down, it sure would help. It is not likely that once he got to dry land, that he would cross back over. Looking at Google maps, if he went to the east side ( the side closer to Canton, he would not have traveled far south because there is another creek that runs W-E. He would be trapped in the northeast segment of Canton. If he surfaced on the west side, then all of the navarre area, shepler Church area, etc would be likely.
