are you kidding me?! AGL Energy receive some random request for power connection - so they contact EnergyAustralia and say were taking this metre over now... So my account gets cancelled. EnergyAustralia say its not their fault AGL stuffed up and then hang up on me when I ask why they didnt have the foresight to even bother to call me to confirm the cancellation. AGL say its not their fault the mythical other customer stuffed up and assert that its not their responsibility to ensure the accuracy of their customers information. And the biggest cracker - apparently there is absolutely NOTHING you can do to prevent this from happening....EVER. Go figure - who knew that contract law was superseded by the commercial wishes of a deregulated energy sector... Ive never wanted to go off grid so hard in my life....
