as I scroll through my news feed, I see lots of pictures and videos of so many border collies which always puts a smile on my face! Some are working bred, sport bred. show bred, etc and all are different and unique in their own way. While I am a stronger fan for the working bred border collie, I do have a tendency to fancy a pretty bc. All my bcs past and present are from working lines and always will be. My own ideals of the type I like has changed over the years. Heck, I have said for so many years that I would never have a smooth coat as I just love the look of the rough coated bc. But as I have grown older I seemed to have softened a bit about a few things bc related. I now like smooth coated bcs and those of you that have known me for a long time are probably chuckling as you read this ;) Many people have said to me that they can spot a Hob Nob bc whether it is at an obedience, agility or herding trial...they have that look about them. I take this as a compliment! I used to think there should only be one type of bc but that is not for me to decide. Im just content that the type I prefer is still going strong by dedicated breeders that strive to keep them the premier herding dog that I have had the honor of enjoying for over 40 years!
