as Paul Harvey says....and now for the rest of the story. heres the horsey story. on our trip thru the Berlin/Kidron country side, there was this beautiful field, as most of them are, and im gonna take a city guess that it was a 300 acre field or bigger, and there seemed to be only one horse in this field, well , from our vantage point, and it was a Belgium im guessing cause he was huge, but not a Clydesdale, anyway, he was trotting kinda tenderly, as if with a purpose, or he was on the hunt, he was say 30 yards from us, in the field, traveling beside us, we were only doing 20 or less mph, and i slowed to see his muscles work his frame in his beautiful fluid forward motion, and then, he started a fake gallop, then started to buck, and jump and u could feel the thunderous thud of his feet hitting mother earth, and we were amazed, THEN we saw what he REALLY was up to, there was a band of birds that had landed on the field, in say a 10 foot wide strip, stretching say a football field, well, they were between he and us, and HE was kickin up his whole body, and running to SCATTER them, now, whats more, he WAS LOVING IT....Jess shouted out HES SMILING....HES LAUGHING....LOOK AT HIS FACE, HES FREEKING SMILING...he looked just like a little kid that had just come off a carnival ride and was ready to run back into line to ride again. we couldnt believe it. i will NEVER go thru that countryside again without a video camera in hopes of seeing such a thing again. it was SOOOOOOOOO FUNNY and moving to see another life form, having fun, smiling, and just frolicking about. ill tag my horsey friends to see if theyve EVER seen such a thing....it made my day, week, and prolly year. seeing that wreck today and then seeing a licence plate with my moms nickname on it really had us all come full circle on our thoughts. its been a great day tater, and with that, i bid you a good nite, Peace and Love from Ptown.
