as a craft, its alway been underrated, and most songwriters, me included, cannot make a living from it. Fact. Where would the industry be without us? The ONLY thing that really matters is the MUSIC! Without it, this industry doesnt exist. What a paradox. Weird isnt it, the vast majority of people who populate, run, control and benefit financially from this game cant play an instrument, certainly dont have the first clue how to write music or have ever performed live or been in a band. If the very people who organise this game cant even support the very people who create its true currency - MUSIC - then what hope is there? Spotify and all the rest of the streaming sites are robbing writers blind and the record companies should be ashamed of themselves.
