as an athiest, its just just sickening that i have to endure watching religious enemies kiling each other over their fictitious beliefs. i am trying to ignore it all happening in many different countries at the moment and just try affect the people around me positively, instead of trying to save the world and getting wound up when i cant, but i am afraid that this current wave of religious wars are really serious and will escalate further. hopefullly i am worried over nothing, but it keeps niggling in the back of my head. Things are not good right now. if i had one wish it would be to relive everyone of their religious delusions, extreme or not, as they are all just delusions and indoctrinations. its really really sad, children are dying, and even willing to die for these delusions. I havent done a religious status for a while, but i feel very lonely and helpless about this as i am pretty much the only overtly open atheist that i know. :( i havent got the right to point a weapon at someones head and tell them to convert to atheism, so why do some religions feel this is a viable option for them, this is no way to spread your message and also me doing that wouldnt work, they wouldnt really not beilve in their god, they would just pretend they dont. is that a win for atheism? no, so the answer must be tolerance then. i can tolerate other religions, and indeed have to, but many religions see anyone else as hell-bound and not one of them, instantly discarded and regarded as a lost soul, in league with the devil or an infidel. to be ignored if they wont convert to the right god and in whats becoming more regular, even killing for not converting. People are so brainwashed it really isnt going to get anybetter form the peaceful village churches of england to the extreme shari law driven islamist state, to the Judgmental, money driven, racket that is the bible belt of america. Its all a farce and people are deluded. Im gonna spend the rest of the day hoping that there is just the tiniest flicker that sopme religious people somewhere will just really look inside themselves and see if there is really any truth to what they believe. cos even at a low level this is the very thing that fuels the whole faith system that we see erupting in wars across the globe. I do Actually love you all and want all of us to get along and be safe. xxx
