......as soon as they start to teach you the names of things.... they start to tell you fairy tales.... the excruciating feeling of being separate and the accompanying utter terror of impermanence is coddled with Santa and gods and mythical pots of gold...... future castles in the sky..... shooting stars and birthday candled prayers that will fill your wishes..... Simultaneously learning you have control....and learning others and imaginary beings can give you what you want..... But all you really want is to stop the intense torture of feeling separate And everything you do only emphasizes it. ..... .....and this simply cannot be taught or learned or given away..... I watch a little girl try on her new dress and twirl around and laugh and say .....now ....I will be happy
