as we hear Part 2 of Kellers message on Exodus 19 this week, I wanted to share a song that has recently been my worship and my prayer. Keller said The Israelite’s testimony and the Christian’s are the same: I was in bondage, but I took shelter under the blood of the lamb, was saved, and now the Lord is showing me how to live out this salvation. I haven’t arrived at the promised land yet, but I’ll surely get there. In the song below, Audrey highlights the needs and fears that may currently hold us captive or enslave us (the need to be understood the fear of being lonely etc). God is able and willing to set us, like the Israelites, free from these bonds! The songs refrain is Deliver me, O God, Deliver me O God... when I taste Your goodness I shall not want. ill post the full lyrics to the song below in the comments. Lord, would we bow to no other gods before you, would you hear our cries, know our longing or freedom, and carry us out on eagles wings (Exodus 19:4), would your goodness satisfy the desires of our hearts.
