as you guys know, im a huge HUGE fan of Chalene Johnson. she is one of my fitness instructor inspirations, and i hope to be able to inspire and help a fraction of the people that she has touched over the span of her long and extremely successful career. shes also known for putting her family first despite her busy schedule and accomplishments. its a valuable a reminder for me to find and maintain my own balance as an instructor, mom and blogger. today, i was able to take one of her classes at IDEA for blogfest. i remember last year, that i was shocked to see her standing at the door, handing out glow sticks and thanking participants for attending. she really is the real deal. what you see is what you get: a fireball of energy, charisma, knowledge and kindness. i didnt think shed be able to top last year, but she did. she taught an INCREDIBLE piyo class... hours after having two teeth extracted. not saying that anyone should do this -id be drooling, half-smiling and slurring through the class- but in pure chalene fashion, she rocked it. hashtag girl crush. now i want a piyo certification ;) have you had the chance to meet or learn from someone you truly admire? whats something that has evolved or helped to initiate your fitness journey?
