at the del mar fare last week, all beatles all the time as their theme was the Fab Fair. Personally i thought they lost a fine opportunity to call it Faire, a tip of the hat to the Brits, odd really, they used every chance to place John, Paul, George and Ringo on everything you saw, no matter how trite or contrived. I was surprised they did not have beatles bath paper in the loo. They did have one large exhibit where instead of willy-nilly insufferable use of the lads, they brought everything together like a museum. large poster boards with lots of stuff no one ever reads, tons of pictures, a large wall with the picture of Abbey road so people could take selfies and act like they were there, (amazing how only certain people had the wild and vivid imagination to have one of their friends take off their shoes) and of course beatles lunch boxes and stuff that as almost everyone passing noted wished they had kept because they would be rich. I was slightly bored really hoping they had john lennons head in a box or something, when I overheard a woman speaking to her friend, wondering aloud what the display (clearly marked) in front of them was. I pointed and said, this is the only known surviving fully signed beatles album in this building. They both looked awestruck and asked if this was my collection. Lets just say I was suddenly having fun.
