ate dinner at the kitchen table for the first time today since my son left. there was such a void there without him. its not like he went to summer camp or to a friends house. the dinner table was almost completely silent. didnt get the sunday phone call asking what time i was comming to get him. didnt get to do the customary morning wake up, where he would tell me he has an alarm for that. its the little things. its not the same without you. WE ALL miss you. i may have gotten mad at my father, may have even gotten wise with him a few times. but no force on earth , at fifteen , would have made me forget him. for the times my dad never said i love you or hugged me when i needed it, his advice and guidance made up for it. and just for that , i love you and miss you. i have no advice. just dont forget. i love you. goodnight..... dad.
