back from BICHANAKANDI: a truly amazing place I know I wouldnt be able to express in words what I just ve watched with these material eyes. But I got to give it a try coz I apprehend what I digested is gonna malfunction if I don’t discharge some. As we set out for Bichanakandi a seemingly linear and slightly rippled profile of cloud in the mid-sky caught my eyes. It was a rainy day and drizzling all along since we got out. So, the cloud wasnt no wonder. But when I learned that it was no cloud but created by mountain, we going for. I was amazed. From then on it just had started. I wd rather say a panorama played by nature before us. The full mountain was covered neck to bottom by a cloak of fog (I’m confused with cloud). As we approached, the view became clear to clearer. The fog turned to be mist. And an apparent single mountain turned to be a series of fellow mountains standing side by side as soldiers behind their chieftain. We reached our destination, the valley, where strong currents flowing through lying rocks. I dont know the etymology of Bichanakandi but I think it may symbolize the flowing water (KANDI) through bed of rocks (BICHANA). The mountains in both sides seemed to be extended to infinity and we were standing in the zero position of a number line. The thing agonizes me is that we got no scintilla of that mountain we were looking at. All theirs. Our big neighbors. Then pungthumai, lokkhachora: all the same story over and over. We got the mere right to look at from a certain distance where our border line ends. OMG, what an amazing youthful roaring falls pungthumay is! I bet, everybody been there had to have the desire of listening the roar while touching its water standing on its rock. I got a helpless terrible feeling of being small beside a big brother (?). Is that why our map’s boundary line is so ununiformed, to segregate precious things selectively..? I felt cheated. I can’t imagine I am so close of that beauty, and I can’t imagine that we don’t own it. I had some hangouts in my life, not many. But amongst them I can tell you that it was one of the awesomests. I can’t but belittle you thanking guyz ( এমরানুর রহমান রনি Sabbir Hossain Shoaib Mohammad Hashanur Rahman Polash Jahangir Kabir Anik ).
