Do you have a plan to help grow the Barony and increase participation? If so, what are those plans and how will you implement your ideas? Answers: How do you address a lack of enthusiasm? Is it the number of events? Is it the cost of events? Is there a lack of recognition? Is there an issue of respect? Are we wrongly using the term apathy when were really talking about issues like the financial expense of playing the SCA, or access to more dynamic venues for events? Before outlining a plan, we must first identify the reason(s) for lower membership numbers, decreases in participation, and lack of volunteers. We believe that the responsibility of nurturing & maintaining new and existing members falls upon the collective community that makes up the society. We fully support participation in recruitment activities that put us in front of potential members with similar interests. These include valuable opportunities such as ACE, the Ren Faire, and Bubonicon. We also would see fit to utilize more integrated marketing efforts to maximize our impact and visibility in the Albuquerque and surrounding community. We have more detailed plans and ideas, which we look forward to sharing at the meet & greet. If you are unable to attend the meet & greet well also be at Crown tournament this weekend and are accessible via email.
