I dont think the charger can be reprogramed.. as I understand that it only works with the GEL Batteries.. I replaced my batteries with Trojan AGMs.. couldnt change the algorithm on the charger.. couldnt get a full charge.. charger died.. replaced both the charger and went to DEKA batteries.. car and I are much happier
