been at the shelter since Aug 17, 2013. This information is 1 hour old. Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: One more volunteer writes: Balla is a beautiful girl. She could not be sweeter. She looks at you with soleful eyes. Yet she is hopeful a certain someone (maybe you) will make her yours. A volunteer writes: Balla was sitting so cutely in her kennel I couldnt resist taking her for a walk. This friendly girl is full of energy and fully enjoyed our walk. Her perky ears are to die for especially as she sits so well for a treat! She will need some more practice on a leash but she was able to respond to me well throughout our walk. Come in and see Balla, a perky girl for sure! Another volunteer writes: Balla is such a nice girl! She likes to lick you with her mushy tongue. She adores sitting for treats. She can be your best friend for life. Come meet Balla. You will be glad you did. Another volunteer writes: Balla is quite the unique and distinctive of animals. Her looks really made me stand back and notice how different she is. Shes almost out of proportion, having a larger head than her body type demands ... And not. I really enjoy her odd looks. Balla is very strong, in my opinion is in need of a firm tender trainer ... She did pull all through our walk, and because of her upper body strength, I was almost at the point of shaping my rope into a harness to gain and keep control as her walker, but didnt. What I did do was to kept reinforcing the fact that she is the doggie and I the walker, putting her back by my side and praising her when I did. Good, good Balla., by walks end, Balla had cooled her jets and was getting the point of where her place should be, at my side and not pulling in front. Balla did do her business in the right places and was a delight to be with off leash in our dog run, loving to play and sit by my side in a genuine affectionate way. Balla does have a large slurping tongue and loves to give those sneaky licks, and gave them whenever possible. Come on, everyone loves those doggie licks ... Dont they? Balla also seems to like other animals. Wont you please come into our Brooklyn Care Center today, to meet with Balla? For sure, Balla would love to meet and come home with you, to be your doggie and companion for the rest of her life. Trust me, this is going to be one of the best decisions youve made in your life ... You can count on that.
