been dreading this day for awhile now but the big step has been taken. Went with my daughter to get Zack enrolled in middle school. He was a nervous wreck and broke out in hives and was a little panicked with going up and down all the stairs with so many other people all around him that he didnt know - He doesnt like big changes at all ! - When anyone spoke to him at the different areas we had to go to with him he wouldnt speak back :-( . They had his schedule messed up and had him going straight into school and to a regular math class first thing instead of his Life Skills class. We finally got through all the enrollment areas and was able to speak with a counselor and she said that they had his schedule all messed up and had put him in all regular classes... got that taken care of and now he will be in classes with his peers from the Life Skills program so that put him and us at ease. He has a special locker with only one number to remember and it took him several tries and hands thrown up in the air in frustration but I asked him if I could take a picture of him trying it one more time and he said yes and that time he got it to open and gave a huge smile to show the success ! Hoping for a smooth sailing year of changes for him. And I also want to say that Ella had her Kindergarten testing today and she aced it with 100 % in everything. She came in dancing and singing on yeah, I did it !! , lol. She is so excited to be starting school finally.
