behco Customer Service Representative Behco-MRM, Inc. - Greater Detroit Area Job Responsibilities: Interface with customers by telephone, fax and e-mail to: Provide information about products or services Take and/or enter orders Take and/or enter quotations Take and/or enter requests for return Obtain details about complaints or issues. Act in a support role to the outside sales, territory managers, and product managers. Keep detailed records of customer interactions and transactions. Communicate and work as part of a team working toward shared goals. Work Activities: Using computers and computer systems (ERP, Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc.) to enter data, communicate, and process/access information. Providing information to customers, supervisors, co-workers in written form, e-mail or in person. Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining customer/order/quote records and processing paperwork. Desired Skills & Experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required: Knowledge of principals and processes for providing efficient and effective customer service. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedure systems such as word processing, managing files and records, completing forms, and other common office procedures and terminology. Ability to accurately price items from price lists and other price sources. Knowledge of basic fluid power principles (advanced/technical knowledge preferred). Skilled at active listening (giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times). Skilled at finding ways to help people (out-of-the-box thinking). Able to read and comprehend written sentences in work related documents, catalogs, etc. Able to use critical thinking, logic and reason to identify solutions or approaches to a problem. Able to communicate in writing and speaking (with the ability to convey information effectively). Job Requirements: 3+ Years of customer service/inside sales experience in industrial distribution. Basic computer skills and MS Office skills Preference will be given to candidates who possess: Technical knowledge of Fluid Power technologies (Hydraulic and Pneumatic) Technical knowledge of Electromechanical systems. 2-Year fluid power associates degree and/or certification Company Description Behco-MRM, Inc., is a leading Michigan distributor and integrator of pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, and motion control components and systems.
