[behind the scene photo] This photo taken at early morning in Yellowstone National Park weve visited last May. The location was in Upper Geyser Basin boardwalk circulating the famous Old Faithful Geyser. Although the Doublet Pool was unique but the first thing I noticed about the rhythmic vibration effect on the surface of the hot water of geyser. It was like water on top of a drum that been hit in singular pattern. Most people impressed with the color produced by algae and bacterias that lives in this environment, similar with highly acid features at Mono Lake in Yosemite National Park. I was in such an awe that the volcanic power could be so pretty yet dangerous. You will appreciate the life and beauty when you can understand how nature works. I was using relatively small and humble DSLR Nikon D3100 with 18-200mm lens, handheld. I did take photos in raw format and minor crop to highlight the connection between two pools. The crisp of early spring air made the water looks like crystal against the vivid color of the mineral substances along the edge of the pool. Cc Jean Corbridge
