Stefan Molyneux en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Molyneux canadian blogger, irish... libertarian ideas, good command of a variety of issues... this should be one of many sources one might consider in examining economic and political issues... ...and notice that the government wants to add more taxes to fuel because the prices have dropped... this guy points out a lot of interesting details, like 2 people on food stamps for every one that gets a job in IL... debt is not the way out of debt... a billion square feet of retail space sitting empty... shale oil boom and fracking have made the US the largest producer of oil... OPEC countries are not cutting production to keep prices up... instead letting the prices drop makes shale/fracking less profitable... kind of like what the Japanese did to the DRAM market in the 80s by selling RAM for less than it cost them to make, which led to unfair trade practices... and many US semiconductors out of the market. in 2008 prices dropped, just before the large economic collapse... energy market about 25% of the economic sector... hedging... etc... he explains things well...
