Hes right on one point - terrorism is a threat we must confront. The problem - the current approach to the War on Terror has utterly failed. Afghanistan is a cesspool of violence ran by warlords where the Taliban is gaining strength by the day. It is also now the worlds leading exporter of heroin. Iraq is an absolute quagmire where ISIS was able to conquer 50 percent of that ramshackle, bombed-out, broken nation in less than a month. The Global Terrorism Index reports that terrorist related deaths in 2013 increased 61 percent; prn.to/1AM1fG4 Our current approach, our current policy makers and our current leaders in the West have completely failed on national security. We are less safe because of their decisions. Yet, the Conservatives will try to pretend that national security (like fiscal management) is one of their strong suits.
