blog.promotion-us/nervous-gender-brooklyn-show The highlight of the packed show, h0wever, was Nervous Gender, who delivered one of the most energetic, entertaining, and thought provoking performances that Pro Motion Music News has seen in years. While Fraser, Zinnato, and Ochao generated pounding rhythms and ear grabbling synth hooks from their machines, frontman, Edward Stapleton, cut a charismatic and incendiary figure, witty, caustic, sharp, biting, intelligent, and warm. By the end of their 40 minute set, they had the entire audience of twenty year olds moshing to their stentorian beats. And given that Nervous Gender are all in their 60′s, it was very inspiring to see them engage an audience half their age into crowd diving and pogo dancing. Sadly, no photos or footage of the show has yet shown up online yet but until that happens here’s some rare, 1980′s footage of Nervous Gender performing in LA. And to make things that much more interesting the boy playing drums is eleven years old.
