As the heat for 2015 general election gathers momentum in IMO state, different political heavyweights cum political honchos are currently engulfed in a political turmoil/ crisis between one another. As at present, the political situation in Isiala Mbano is so serious between the immediate past governor of IMO state, Chief Ikedi Ohakim A.K.A (Ikiri) and his long time political foe and rivalry, Senator Ifeayichukwu Araraume. Brethren, it seems that things are no longer at ease and perhaps you could call it things fallen apart between two political gladiators cum conservative brothers from Mbano clan, and your not far from the truth. Information reaching me from a source who prefers being anonymous, had it that if nothing is seriously done to wage war between the two political honchos of Mbano, that there shall be a serious dilaceration amongst both of them. Already, their past political injuries to Mbano people are yet to be healed, though their resuscitated titanic battle that now hovers around us happens to be of party delegates pending what will happen after their party(PDP) primary election. My source confirmed to me in good authority that Ohakim A.K.A (IKIRI), had some weeks ago held a premeditated enlarged political meeting with his party supporters in order to strategize towards PDP primary election. It was there that Ohakim made it clear to them how he had earlier declared his guber intention in order to abnegate Sen. Araraume in PDP fold but expressed his gratitude over their support for him that actually ended up motivating him to become a serious contender. He further made it clear at his Okohia abode that if Araraume is allowed to win PDP ticket and subsequently happened to occupy the governorship position of IMO state, that everyone of them shall leave or go for a political exile pending when he will complete his tenure, and charged all of them to reject him in the party primary or risk leaving the state. Ohakim further averred to them that Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha winning his second term election meant that everyone of them shall also go into a political retirement cum oblivion hence he counseled them ( his supporters) on the need for them to high the political tempos the more and win more souls for him in order to continue enjoying from him . But in a swift reaction from a long time aide to Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, he bombed Ohakim by asking him to get ready for his burial ceremony as the Senator had already put every mechinary in place to triumph over their party primary pending what will happen in the main election. He reminded Ohakim how Sen. Ifeanyi Araraume has never lost in every primary election he had contested in the past, not even in the time of Udenwa as the sitting governor of the state. He summed it up that after 2015 general election in IMO state, that they shall not only go for Ohakim,s burial but they shall partake in his burial ceremony since Araraume is his problem, Senator Araraume,s aide concluded. Meanwhile, when i put a call across to a particular political pundit from Mbano extraction, the Man lampooned and lambasted both of them as a political failures that has caused more harm than good on Mbano people. The political activist who was fuming and raging with anger over Ohakim,s purported guber bid lamented angrily hence he branded him a political failure, mischievous and liability to Mbano clan who could not achieve anything meaningful for his people when he was a governor. He made it clear that anyone talking about Ohakim in Isiala Mbano politics is like bringing back a premonition and healed injury forMbano people.----- Hear him; Ohakim is a curse for we Mbano people, When he held sway as a governor of IMO state, he was busy acquiring wealths for his family, taking up our ancestral Lands with Executive fiat, building five star Hotels with a 100 room apartments that was measured with the ton of about 12 billion in South Africa. Buying companies in China, not forgetting so many houses he bought for his numerous Girl friends at different cities like Abuja, Lagos etc while mbano people suffered in abject poverty coupled with a communal turmoil he instigated politically due to his selfish gains. Fuming with anger on phone as he continued, the Man has been missing in Mbano Land ever since lost 2011 election only to surfaced again due to 2015 general election. Gift my friend! In fact, dont, dont provoke me now as he began to soliloquized and mediated on phone out of Ohakim,s anger until he cut the call on me. I was taken aback over the sudden emotion of my political friend. Hmmm!
