#burntout Did you see the driver of this car? ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a stolen vehicle which was involved in dangerous driving yesterday (Monday 1 December). Between 1pm and 5pm, a dark grey Toyota Aurion was seen driving erratically, revving loudly and doing burnouts through the suburbs of Gilmore, Richardson and Chisholm. The vehicle was also seen to be driving with no tyre on the front driver side rim in Gilmore. About 5pm, the car was driven onto a grass area on Ferber Place, Gilmore, and subsequently a small fire ignited under the vehicle. ACT Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the flame before ACT Policing arrived and seized the vehicle, which was identified as being stolen. However, the driver had fled the area. Anyone who may have witnessed the dangerous driving throughout Gilmore, Richardson and Chisholm or the driver fleeing the vehicle in Ferber Place, Gilmore, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.au.
