David, Joshua, Smith Wigglesworth and the list goes on to those we look up to because of their faith. You can probably add to this list. Each of us, like this widow in Luke 18, have a former life that is running over with excuses and occasions to doubt our faith. JESUS gives us this story and compares the elect to this harassed by the enemy widow. She had every reason to quit but she kept pushing and she prevailed. She refused to exempt herself from her desire for her petition to the judge to be granted simply because of her low estate. She makes no excuses for her lack of finances, knowledge or charm. She was desperate and her desperation worked to her advantage. Desperation is GODS hammer. It will demolish the stronghold of fear. How desperate are we? How desperate are you?
