(by Anna Russia) 10th program of the “Exactly The Same” TV show, May 11, 2014. Vitas in the image of E. Khil’ performs his famous song “Winter”. Unfortunately, this transformation was the least successful of all that Vitas did in this project. He differed strongly from the original both by the appearance and by the manner of performance. In my opinion, in this makeup Vitas resembled much his father Vladas but had little in common with Khil’. The voice and artistic manners were typical of Vitas – his own timber, his manner of pronunciation of words, his movements and walking - all was his own. So, this time I must agree with the judges’ scores: three 4 and one 5 (I think this judge was too generous, because he put 5 to Vitas only for his straight back, as Khil’ had). Perhaps, the fact that this song has been performed by Vitas at his concerts played a bad joke at him, because he used to sing it in his own way and couldn’t get rid of his usual performance and copy the original. video.yandex.ru/users/alvasta/view/363/ After his performance, the presenter of the program proposed him to perform in duet another song of Khil’. In fact, the presenter performed it alone, and Vitas only danced. All judges ran to the stage to dance with them. The video is in comments.
