They’ll greet you at the door with an amicable smile, lead you to your table and serve you the best wine and hors d’oeuvres. Much like the imaginary variety, living nightmares may embrace you like an old friend, a benevolent comrade, before removing its mask, particularly when least expected. For a time, the Clemens Family enjoyed the luxury of their new home, ignoring the many subtle warnings and dark caveats.
