check out the body image hero sideshow below the article…once again two of my favorites…Jennifer Lawrence and Adele….along with Rebel Wilson too….feeling beautiful is about feeling healthy and happy in your own skin. Hollywood and the fashion industry are both extremely damaging to our younger generation. I never realized as a young girl and teenager how much I looked to Seventeen Magazine and Teen Magazine for ideas of what I was supposed to be. Only in the last few years (and I turn 45 this week) have I been able to embrace exactly who I am. Sure I am fat…there….I said it!! Sure I would like to feel healthier and that is why I am doing something about it by starting Pilates and Barre and overhauling the family diet almost completely (I say almost!). More people need to focus on feeling good about themselves and NOT strive to be like the celebrities and models.
