chrismess We know that most would answer confidently and say yes although they have never seen proof or are able to provide it. 1st Thessalonians 5:21 “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Contrary to what is commonly believed, you will be shocked what the answer to that question is. From the best source to find out the TRUTH, in the Bible. The nativity scene that has been burned into your minds is far from what really took place. Luke 2:7 “And she [Mary] brought forth her firstborn son [Jesus Christ], and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger [a wooden box known as a trough where livestock eat from and it is usually outside]; because there was no room for them in the inn.” In the Bethlehem (the birthplace of Christ, see Micah 5:2) it is commonly known that it SNOWS, its winters are so harsh that it is known in the Bible as the mean season. How can the nativity have taken place in winter? A baby swaddled in clothes would have FROZEN TO DEATH. Please read, Psalms 147:16 -17. Luke 2:8 “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.” These shepherds were going to hear great news about the birth of our Savior. But notice they are out in the night in the field watching their sheep. Again this could not have been done in the cold winter. Luke 2:9 “And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.” Verse 10: “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Verse 11: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Verse 12: “And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” How were they to find the baby, by going from barn to barn in a city? Remember that a manger is outside in the streets, therefore these shepherds went from street to street until they found him. Luke 2:15 “And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.” Verse 16: “And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.” Verse 17: “And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.” Now ask yourself, if it was winter and you saw a baby barely covered and in the streets would you leave them there where they were staying? Apparently the conditions were not bad since this is what they did. Remember the shepherds themselves were comfortable outside at night watching their flocks. Where is the Date of when Christ was born mentioned there?! In the Holy Scriptures the birth of Christ is documented in FOUR chapters; Matthew chapter 1-2, Luke chapters 1-2. NOWHERE does it mention that his birth is DECEMBER 25th nor does it give a date of any kind. Hence here are a few FACTS to consider: The word December does NOT exist in the Bible. It is a word that comes from Latin (the Romans) which means TENTH month. The Bible was written in two languages Hebrew and Greek. Jesus Christ was/is a Hebrew Israelite (See, John 1:41- 49, John 4:22, Matthew 2:1-6, and Hebrews 13:8) therefore he spoke Hebrew (Acts 26:14-15) and followed the Hebrew Calendar. In the Hebrew Calendar months begin at the new moon (Psalms 81:3-4 and Leviticus 23:24) whereas the Roman calendar is based on the sun. Imagine we knew his birthday, it would never land on the same day on the calendar used today since it’s based on the Roman Calendar. So where does this date come from? This date was very important to those who worship the Sun as god since it is the Winter Solstice. The Romans that did not believe in Christ held a celebration on this date called in Latin “Dies Natalis Solis Invicti” which means “the BIRTHDAY of the unconquered Sun”. This wicked pagan day became associated to Jesus Christ hundreds of years later by the ROMAN Catholic (which means universal) Church through the Roman Emperor Constantine. Many of the disciples of Christ warned that after they were all dead the TRUTH of God will be changed to lies and fables. Please read, Romans 1:25, 2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, Revelations 12:9, 2nd Corinthians 11:13-14, 1st Timothy 4:1-2, and 2nd Timothy 4:3-4. The evidence of how this pagan day became a holiday in Churchianity is overwhelming yet we must confess to you that the Bible does speak about Christmas! About 600 years BEFORE Jesus Christ was born the tradition that is called today Christmas is spoken of in the Bible. The prophet Jeremiah, a prophet of the so called Old Testament was told; Jeremiah 10:2 “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.” The God of Israel commanded that we learn not the way of the heathen meaning other nations (pagans) since they worship idols (false gods). See, Psalms 96:5 and Psalms 135:15. The signs of heaven that Jeremiah is mentioning are the changes that happen to the sun, moon, stars, and even planets; which the other nations fear with dismay and worship. What sign/change were the nations dismayed of in Jeremiah’s time period? The Winter Solstice! Jeremiah 10:3 “For the customs of the people are vain:” The word vain means a lie, fail, worthless, unprofitable, and for nothing. What customs or traditions are vain? Jeremiah 10:3 “for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.” Verse 4: “They deck [decorate] it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.” What tradition exist in this world where a man cuts out a tree out of the forest to decorate it with silver and gold? Isn’t this talking about the Christmas tree? Even today the tree is cut down with an axe or chain saw, silver and gold tinsels and balls are used. Back then they had to hammer the tree to the floor so it would not fall. In this time period is no different the tree must be kept standing upright so a tree stand is used. This is obviously describing the tradition/custom of Christmas. This is the only celebration that requires a tree out of the forest to be cut down for decorating. The tree is so necessary that if you are unable to afford an actual tree a plastic one is purchased to be decorated with silver and gold tinsels. Christmas is VAIN! Think about the evil you are teaching your children, such as lying and believing in a false god, Satan’s Clause. Jeremiah 10:5 “They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.” The type of tree used today is a fir tree and it’s the same reason why in ancient time they used the “palm tree”; because it stays green after being cut down for some time. This is suppose to represent life to the false god. The Heavenly Father is revealing to those that follow this custom that the tree is not a god since it “speak not”. It cannot go this is why it’s carried (borne) by you. No blessing will come to you or any evil from the tree, unlike what you were taught when you were small with the Christmas songs. Saying, “You better watch out, You better not cry, Better not pout, Im telling you why:” Or when they said, “He knows if youve been bad or good, So be good for goodness sake!” Many are compelled to set up a tree in their home due to the superstitious beliefs. But it all leads back to worshipping the signs of heaven, that’s why what is put on the very top of the tree is a big bright star (the Sun). Think back to the Bible, where is Santa Claus, the reindeers, elves, or any other custom of Christmas mentioned? Do not ignore the evil of Christmas when the Lord told you not to do it, it is not for the children, or for God. It is simply for Satan. Finally the Heavenly Father also warns you that if you continue in this idolatry that he will punish you for your sin. 1st Peters 4:3 “For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:” It is enough already all the wickedness that you did in ignorance the drunkenness, partying/revelling, and idolatry. It’s time to repent of these things and not be partakers with the sins of the Gentiles. 1st Peters 4:4 “Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:” Your family members might speak against you because you no longer go to the clubs or parties with them. Or even to celebrate what they think is holy; like Christmas and Thanksgiving. But at the end of the day you are doing the right thing in refraining from these things for there will come a time when all will be judged. 1st Peters 4:5 “Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.” Shalam
