comparison of religions is a waste of time for Christians . Christians should instead compare your heart with the eternal message of Jesus Christ in the Bible . The sky is simply promised to all those who have been reborn or born again , and is one of the promises that God has given us in His Word . If we have truly received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior , then we are recipients of the promise that we will be in Gods presence immediately after our physical death . No denomination or group has a lock the perfect knowledge of God . In fact , the Bible tells us that some truths are not revealed to us in this life . It should be noted again , however, that the main beliefs of any Christian denomination must be rooted in the Gospel . Salvation is a gift or something to be earned as merit? The answer must be that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by any kind of works ( Ephesians 2:8-9 ) .
