considering the serious challenges facing the Druze people, i find it extremely disappointing that george clooney is now the most prevalent topic of discussion in our community. why not talk about the internal political conflicts, war, gentrification and displacement, religious confusion and loss of identity instead? wake up brothers and sisters. lets discuss the issues that matter. lets not let our 1000 year old tradition of honor and strength become a myth. we have lots of work to do if we wish to keep the tradition alive for another 1000 years.............or we can talk about george clooney all day and make ourselves a tabloid sensation you see, its one thing for non-Druze to discuss this captivating hollywood story about a celebrity marrying an exotic middle eastern woman, but its another thing completely for our own people to be giving this any attention. i for one, would rather die before i see our legacy and way of life, for which our ancestors gave their blood to protect century after century, turn into a ridiculous comical spectacle for media pigs. neither clooney nor his soon to be wife are Druze. they are not now, nor will they ever be in any way related to us. keep your gossip the hell away from my people. إستحو ع شرفكم يا بني معروف
