Job Title Medi-Cal Collector; Physician Billing Location Los Angeles(90028) CLIENT COMPANY OVERVIEW Our client is a leading Physician Practice Management company responsible for the business services for a leading University Children’s Medical Group – the largest pediatric multi-specialty group in the United States and are acclaimed for their leadership in Pediatric and Adolescent health. POSITION SUMMARY The Medi-Cal Biller & Collector is responsible for accurately billing and maximizing the amount of cash collected and minimizing the time period in which it is collected for each assigned division; for ensuring that the amounts collected on each invoice are correct; for ensuring that accounts receivable age is maintained within specified levels; for ensuring that the appropriate information can be provided to physicians on the status of their accounts receivable; and for providing feedback to managers on clean claim requirements. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Three (3) years billing; account follow-up experience. Experience Collecting on Physician Government Claims (Medi-Cal) Knowledge of CCS, Medi-Cal and Managed Care billing practices preferred. Proficiency in IDX and/or GE Centricity Billing System is preferred Ability to work independently. Associate of Art’s degree preferred; minimum high school diploma COMPENSATION $18.00/hr.
