THE EXISTENCE OF DEMONS TODAY Scriptural testimonial is clear that were an abundance of demons at the time the Saviour was here on earth. Modern man today boasted age of science and electronic that they dismiss such belief only as superstition or an amusing joke. Book of Rev 9:20 speaks of yet future time of the great tribulation when men will continue to worship demons and evil spirits; many pagan people today are ardent spirit worshippers. In Manila, many witness demons possessed people and hear the demons through lips of these people. III. THE NATURE OF DEMONS i. Demons are spirit beings and can be cast out using the name of Jesus in Matt 8:16 In Mark 1:23, demons are called "unclean" spirit, and in Eph 6:12, Paul speaks that we wrestle against "flesh and blood" and against the unseen powers of the air. Demons, though spirits have personalitiesand are represented as intelligent beings, subtle as serpents, which is Satan himself. Mark 5:10, Luke 4:34; Gen 3:1; II Cor 11:14 Because demons have supernatural knowledge, men have attempted to obtain advance information of future events; people consult evil spirits in fortune-telling. They are morally unclean:Matt 10:1;Mark1:27;Rom6:13;Luke 8:27 They seemed to have superhuman strength requiring several people to hold demonized person. They cause dumbness, blindness, insanity, sucidal mania, etc.
