continued/ started another new staus here. Wrote 5 words and pc locked again so glad i posted the last one when i did! I love my passengers. not meaning to be awful but they come from the lower socio-ecconomic community mainly. dont own cars and cant afford to fly but they are the real good honest kiwis largely and a few tourists thrown in. One can make judgements so easily about them and yet be proven wrong so easily. They are all nice people and I have had no issues with anyone. I have had the smart young (25ish) hoodish maori boy with his shoulders all puffed up and demanding who at the end when I am getting in the boot to get the last bags out will say ill get those miss. The standoffish older gent who when booking on clearly doesnt want to say much more than his name and get on but at the end of the journey will make the effort to say thanks, enjoyed the commentry and great trip. Then there was the lovely regular traveller (NPL-AKL) who gave me a bottle of wine when we finished the trip saying his wife told him to. (she doesnt travel, just him) I often chat to him. Have also had several travellers who have told me they usually drive their car down but while coach travel may take a little longer, its way more enjoyable and comfortable. And cheaper in the long run then the cost of fuelling the car by heaps. Have to admit even I am considering going to Napier and back on a coach. Will just hire a car down there. I cant afford the risk of driving my car all that way and having it break down. I need it to get to and from work. It is scary in the amount of dejavu I have in this job. There is heaps and i know a few will be laughing at me in this as i dont believe in those things. My Grandfather was the GM of Greyhound buses in wanganui for many years. he was a bus driver. My Uncle started running the bus from Whatatutu to Gisbourne and then moved to Keripehi and ran a bus service around there to Hamilton and morrinsville. My other grandfather was also connected horse drawn coaches around the east coast NI. But its the stuff I do/see and think I have seen that before, done that before, knew that. Heaps of it.
