could you ask for a better fan letter? glad my music could help you through a rough time and Im glad you got to see the show tonight. helping people like u makes it all worthwhile. thank YOU for making me feel better about myself and what I do for a living. it honestly helps. and thanks for the reminder that every day is a gift. I think we can all forget that sometimes. from a fan: Hey mc chris, It was a busy night tonight in Philly and i dont know if you remember me, but I was the girl (dress in the no face makeup) who came up to the merch table before the show started and told you that your music got me through my rough hospital stays. I truly meant it. When I was 15 years old, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and the doctors told me I had 6 weeks to live. I dont think any 15yr old really knows what life is like...and even now at 18yrs old I dont have a clear grasp of life, but it sure hits home when your life is going to end so young. Tonight at your show in Philly (my first concert btw), I had to keep from crying a little bit. Not crying in the crazy fan obsessed way, but just for the sheer fact that I felt so alive. My cancer is asleep right now, but its still an overwhelming thing, being told that you only have a set amount of time to live, and going past that date is exciting and scary. I never know if or when my cancer will wake up, but tonight I didnt care at all. I felt so alive and grateful to have beaten cancer at your concert. I got to cross see an mc chris show off my bucket list, and I cant thank you enough for your music and inspiration. I cant thank you enough for the rush of life your show gave me tonight. I cant thank you enough for just being you and always following your dreams. Thank you so much for the push your music gave me in the hospital and for such an amazing show tonight. Congrats on the upcoming baby! Youre going to be an awesome Dad. Thank you again, and never give up. Because you were right tonight. Amazing things do happen out of shitty situations.
