Jackwad sent back the most insulting, condescending message. Maybe someone else could get throughout to him. I sent.... Dear pet owner, The dog that you are offering free IS NOT an Australian Cattle Dog. Your dog is a Pit Bull Terrier. The fact that you are giving this dog away in the Memphis area puts this dog in danger. Memphis is a hot bed for dog fighters. If you truly care & want this dog to go to a good & loving home, I would enlist the help of a reputable rescue group. Tunica Humane is a good choice. Theyre close to Memphis & are very responsible. It would appear that the generic name for most dogs of mixed breeds ranging from small to very large is pit bulls and the catergory they are cast in does them no favours regardless of what mixed breed it is. I guess that your tagging them thus just sends so many more to thier death than if greater thought was put to what in fact thier heritage was ? I appreciate your words of warning and understand the passion you feel in doing what you consider to be in the best interests of stray dogs, on the understanding that you may have jumped to the conclusion that i am going to give my dog away to some one who is convieniant rather than caring ? Having rescued many dogs both here and Australia i am capable of making sound judgement and having traveled the world to many places that you would be unfamiliar with i am i believe a fair judge of character. Finaly i do not advocate your brutal and miss placed ideology on castration and splaying, i do not agree on many thoughts you hold so sacred and am realistic enough to think that natural selection needs a helping hand at times in culling excess numbers.
