dear Governor Mwangi Wa Iria REF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE GOVERNOR I VOTED TWO YEARS AGO. my name is P K, citizen no 25389065 and am one of those people who overwhelmingly voted for you to be our governor in march 2013. we made long queues for many hours just to ensure that devolution does not remain in the constitution but tickles down to us in a democratic process. most of us, tall and short, young and old ignored our differences just to vote for a common unit of devolution to be led by you Mr. governor. i voted you because i trusted you at that time. even now i still trust you but that trust now lies on a risky balance due to the following differences. the Mwangi i voted for was a humble man who seemed to appreciate the rights of hustlers and understand the economic level of his county. that Mwangi seemed to know that members of Muranga county are proud of hard work, teamwork and dignity to the culture of unity and cooperation within the operations of growth in their county. that Mwangi seemed to clearly understand that the youth in Muranga just needed an extra effort from your office to boost their ability to rely on themselves, however the governor of Muranga today seems to have distanced himself from this great fact and invested in PR on the national platform. when i voted you Mr governor, i could imagine your movement from one sub-county to the next, meeting the people and planning development functions day in day out. i thought of a man who would cooperate with the senate to ensure that the lives of his people become better, instead of this Mr governor, you hit the headlines as hitting your chest that you are not a tourist attraction site. there you missed the point. in march 2013 Mr governor, i voted a man who could appreciate that most of his voters are still desperate on the ground without a reliable source of income and still borrowing 5 bob and ten bob from colleagues to enjoy a glass on a drinking joint, i therefore thought that you would enroll small projects for the youth everywhere in the county to strengthen this people and improve their financial status, the governor of today is busy enrolling mega projects that mainly benefit the rich and seems in no way to touch the lives of this hustler. a security system will benefit the haves and make the have nots feel alienated. am not saying that security is not a priority, but please let the police do their work. finally Mr governor, i thought one or two years down the line, your voters will have some benefits to associate with you. that suffering mwananchi on the ground can notice a difference or two in the way he carries out his daily activities,so far Mr governor, the rain is likely to beat you instead of showering on your fortunes. p.k4myself@yahoo
